I was gonna bring a MANZ missle because math hammer seemed to favor it slightly, but re-readling slow and purposeful I realized that even placing them in a Truk turbo boosting is still disallowed. I bet I would've won the whole thing otherwise! Hah!

Just to clarify on your reading of Slow And Purposeful its not the MANz that flat out in a Trukk. Just because the MANz are embarked on the Trukk does not make the Trukk a part of their unit. So you can flat out while they are embarked.

Did you fare about how you expected?

@Lord Aruturius: Yes I did better than I expected! It was pretty close against the dark angels, iron hands and grey knights. I didnt think I would win a game at all. The White Scars was a weird list. He just didnt have an answer for Av14 or fliers. Eldar... I knew what was coming. I wasn't surprised to be nearly tabled.

@y0disisray: Re-read S&P. It says something to the effect of if any model in the unit has S&P then the unit may not run, turbo boost, move flat out, make sweeping advances or fire overwatch. That's how I read it.

Well done. It takes some creativity to compete at tournament level with Orks. Thanks for putting it together!

Thanks for the great video. This was definitely an event I wish I could have attended this year.

And to further embolden the debate: The Ork Trukk and MegaNobz are separate units, so the Slow and Purposeful does not affect the Trukk. Even embarked, the Trukk does not become a part of the Meganobz unit.

A transport is never part of the unit that has embarked.
Because the entire unit must embark, not just part of it. How does a transport embark on itself?

@rigeld2: Ive found that you are frequently correct in rules discussions, and hope that you are right in this case. But I doubt it. I've started a YMDC thread to address the disagreement.

If a transport and an embarked unit became a single unit then they would both have to shoot at the same target at the same time. I just read through all FAQs and the transport section of the BRB and there isn't any information that supports that the two units become one. The unit and the transport each suffers effects happening to one or the other so I can see where it gets confusing but they are still separate. Plus I played MANz missles at the LVO and I didnt have anyone complain or mention anything.

Oh I saw your models I think. Kromlech megas? They were so badass! They were HUGE though. I actually tried to find you so I could ask. I talked to most of the other ork folks there including Allen (playing Necrorks but an experienced meganob user). They all were pretty surprised at the BRB wording. None of us (including me) had ever heard of that. I was paranoid and didn't want any surprises or be accused of cheating so I deleted them from my list and went with nob bikers instead. I hope you're right! Moved to YMDC.

Yeah that was my army with the Kromlech ones. They are huge but they are better looking and slightly cheaper than the GW ones.
