ok so i was playing against an army today which has a landing pad. My opponent went first and his storm raven started in hover mode on the landing pad. I checked my opponents army list and he spent 75 pts on the pad. I thought you had to pay extra to get the ability for storm ravens to start the game on it but my opponent said you didn't. was he right?

The rules for this are in Stronghold Assault, page 33.

And yes, he has to pay extra (a tiny amount of points though) for that ability and it comes with some restrictions on what the Flyer can do the first turn.

so he cheated me!!!!!!!!!!!

He basically moved the flyer how he wanted, he zoomed straight towards me.

Tell him to bring his Stronghold Assault book next time.
