Hey Guys, I'm headed to a 1000pt tournament at my local GW store in a couple of weeks, here is the list I am thinking of running, It will be my first ever tournament so I'm not fully sure what to expect, I'm guessing at 1000pts most armies will have a hard time dealing with 3 FMCs, the plan is to have one prince drop a portal glyph, the other prince uses grimour on the bloodthirster then all 3 charge head on into the enemy line, the bloodletters are held in reserve where they will be safe until later in the game where they can take objectives and claim linebreaker. thoughts?

You're putting all your points into 3 FMC? I know the circus is in town but this seems like a bad idea against anyone with any kind of skyfire. The ADL, HBC Riptide and Missilesides as well as Stormtalons and Night scythes all come to mind. All of these units have two things in common 1) they are close to half the price of one of your MCs and 2) they will eat all three of your MCs for lunch.

Even if they opponent brings zero answer to fliers, I doubt your 3 guys will make it to close combat. As a MEQ player, let me tell you it isn't hard to roll a 1 or a 2 on a saving throw you really need and with nothing else to shoot at, all those 3+ up grounding checks you'll be making won't go on forever and your 800 pts of face bashers will come crashing down before they ever get to bash face.

If you want to run Khorne, take the dogs man.

I don't have any hounds, I have a tonne of bloodcrushers tho but they are overpriced in my opinion. Personally I love my circus. Thanks for the input tho.

I think you're right, at 1K, I think it's going to be very hard to deal with 3 FMC, sure they don't come with all the tricks of say a ML3 tzeentch/slaanesh DP,but for what you pay they will be effective.

I think the key for success with a list like this at this specific point level would be to play aggressive and get into combat by turn two and make sure you're keeping the blood letters out of LOS. Personally, I'd swap them out for PBs for 2+ go to ground but I understand you're going for a theme here which I can respect.

I think this list will do fine,sky fire will be your only downfall however at 1K I don't think anyone will have enough fire power to reliably table 3 FMC in 1 turn. Especially of your using your terrain.

Thanks heaps, the only other units I have available are more bloodletters, 10 bloodcrushers and a gakload of CSM

Why not bring two Bloodthirsters? They're better than khorne princes and roughly same price

I definitely would bring 2 but I don't own a second and its strictly wysiwyg
