I have entered in a local tournament and I was wondering if I could get some feedback on this list. I'm going to be facing a variety of opponents of just about every army. Here is my army thus far.

Your Wolf guard now count as Troops with grimnar in the lot,

What powers are you taking for your RP

Throw a Lone Wolf and spruce him up a bit he will wreck MCs and be a big target while the rest of your army moves and fires..

It looks like a pretty cut and dry list, you are slogging a lot and might think of taking one of your troop choices out to add drop pods or some more rhinos/razorbacks

you are lacking in fast attack but most games are objective and troop choices are key! being said you have 5 troop choices at your max of 4 (if you follow FOC which you should for tourneys)

I would drop one of the Grey hunter packs, keep your weapons aligned, if you plan on facing nids or another swarm army take a flamer but in todays meta you are better served with a plasma gun or melta gun (I prefer plasma for the rapid fire and range over assaulting)


So if you dont mind here is what I would run your list as at 1850 while maintaining what I can assume you have to use (with the addition of one drop pod)

Second kavik mostly. I would take terminator armor over runic if your priest is not trying to get into a transport. You don't need the 5++ against psychic powers when you have a 5++ against everything from TDA. You also don't need master of runes unless you plan on casting 2 powers a turn. If you take 2 shooting powers you never will, but you could go divination and get 2 powers. The wolf tooth necklace is OK, but rune priests are not much for CC. The wolf tail talisman is useless on the priest as your runic weapon can deny a power on a 4+, and per FAQ you can't stack wargear to stop a power.

Living lightning on your turn JOTWW on over watch, or using LL then assualting and activating your force weapon on a wound to ensure an ID

I run mine in termie, but I was unsure if this gent had a Termie Rune priest, I wanted to stick with what models I knew he had.

I usually run LL and JOTWW on my rune priest.

I thought the normal FOC allowed up to 6 troop choices.

I also didn't mention that the wolf guard would be used as Leaders of the Pack.

You are right, I was very wrong! it is up to 6 troop choice

Adding the 20 points for termie armor puts the list I produced exactly at 1850!

Are all of your Wolf guard in TDA? You can only select 1 terminator heavy weapon for every 5 models on TDA.

In the codex it says that for every 5 models in the squad, one Wolf guard in TDA may take a heavy weapon. It does not specify that all models in the squad must be in TDA to do this.
