As the title, what would you have me add to this relatively plain wasteland of a base?

I'm not foaming at the mouth desperate to cover up the integrated bases, but I wouldn't mind. Any suggestions viable, considering mixing up a batch of my own textured paint (cheapo craft paint plus sand/ballast) to just cover the entire surface, and various degrees of ballast/sand/stone, flock, grass, and clump foliage. What else could I try? Would the baking soda (or similar) snow effect look good with the color scheme of the skelies? Potentially late in the game to consider, but what about a tree? Too much? Might be better for next time nobody would be reacting to it atm.

Thanks for looking, and for any ideas

I wouldn't overdo anything. Maybe add some rocks and some yellowish tuft, but noot making it too full of stuff.

On a sidenote; Oh how those GW skeletons look ugly if you see them next to the Mantic (?) skeletons. Never realised they were THAT ugly.

Yeah, the older skeleton warriors are chunky. I figure they must be the remains of oversized barbarian folk or orcs.
