Subject: Rodeo Games to use the Unreal Engine 4 for their upcoming Games Workshop mobile title
Epic and Rodeo Games have announced that the independent mobile developer has licensed the new Unreal Engine 4 for their next Games Workshop project on mobile devices.
Rodeo Games are the first mobile studio to license the new UE4 as they leave behind their own in-house Taurus engine which powered previous titles such as Warhammer Quest and Hunters 2.
“We’ve made it our mission to raise the bar on what players can expect to see in mobile visuals and gameplay. In short, we want to set a new standard, and working with Unreal Engine 4 we can achieve that more efficiently and with greater impact,” said Rodeo Games co-founder Laurent Maguire.
Epic's Mike Gamble added, “Rodeo Games is already a very impressive player within the dynamic mobile sector. We’re working closely with them to help them achieve their objectives in the months ahead. As Rodeo will demonstrate, UE4 has so much to offer indie developers, and we look forward to helping many more teams compete in the marketplace.”
