Perhaps I'm reading the rules wrong, but upgrades to a squad or buffs to a squad (such as psybolt ammo or a brotherhood banner), are they conferred to an IC joining the squad?

Example: Draigo joining a squad of Paladins with the psybolt ammo upgrade and contains a brotherhood banner. Would he get +1 str from psybolts and +1 attack in melee from the banner; or being Independent does he not receive these while attached to a squad?

Thanks

If they are purchased upgrades or wargear than he would not benefit *unless* it says the unit (as in only one has to be upgraded)..

It deepnds on the wording and effects of the upgrade.

The psybolt ammo works for a model with the ammo, so since the IC is not a part of the squad when you give the squad the ammo he does not get to use it.

The brotherhood banner is worded differently though.

Ok so this might be a case where he gets one, but not the other?

That way,then left

He's not part of the unit during army list composition, but the banner surely is worded differently. He'd benefit from the banner and not the ammo
