I used to run it a lot...
if you run into eldar you are really dead,
way too much AP2 out there now, or ignores armor saves

Is it at least fun? Strong against other comps?

Draigowing can be very fun, depending on what you're into. I think you might be slightly over points though (I added up 1505).
On average I've found that you have 3-4 objectives in a standard game, and you have 3-4 scoring units (depending on how well you roll with grand strategy) which are relatively tough. At 1500 points, it's harder for armies to bring specialized units to deal with your tougher units.

I would drop the psybolts for another psycannon, because while 3 is good to deal with most tanks 4 is better for fliers. S5 is awesome for dealing with lighter troops, but your dreadknights already have that one covered.

I loved playing it and found it very fun, until i played against a some of the new codexes,
I ran into eldar and was tabled turn 2

Oh really? try that with nids and see how hilariously you lose to "the most agressive" ork list. Random darts decide you dont get synapse? Have fun as 2/3 of your army runs off the table turn 1.

OT Dragowing is one of those armies that if you face the right person, you're going to steamroll them because 2w terminators with FNP/IWND from endurance is awesome. I'd dare say they are the single most durable troops in the game.
As long as you are good at wound/loss management then this army can still be rediculous to beat, especially with afformentioned combo (requires a libby, so that's a thing I suppose)

D'oh.. forgot the GK player in my area allies in red hunters for biomancy, so yeah.. oops

Yeah but, who doesn't struggle against Eldar? With that being said 95% of lists have something to counter them, as they should. I'm not worried about it. It's something unique to our meta as well.... Plus, well I just don't want to use any other HQ except Draigo and Crowe cause it's who I like the most, not who the internet tells me I should like the most.

As for the list, that 4th Psycannon is far more important than psybolt. I'd even consider dropping the Apothecary to get swords on the Dreadknights.

But yes Tau ruin this, Daemons walk over it, Eldar smash it, Necrons fly past laughing. To be competitive with GKs you need 3 Dreadknights and ideally 2 Stormravens. The intended issue is there is an increasing amount of S8+ Ap2 blasts out there these days.

Tau and Space Marines don't struggle agianst Eldar? In what world? Depending on Chapter, Space Marines typically get crushed. I've observed several games and local tournies where Eldar simply just walks to a victory over and over and over again.

But again, I know Draigowing isn't as competitive as it used to be... Our friends do not field the spam/cheese netlists so i'm not overly worried about it after playing Orks for so long.

Tau laugh at pretty much anything Eldar have to offer. Whilst both Space Marines and Enclaves have better Deathstars than Eldar's midlevel Seer star. Heck even Syderstar is probably stronger right now. Not to mention Tau+SMs with the O'Vesagravstar or Buffmandergravstar. At the top of the tournament scene the quality of your death star is what is winning tournaments right now and Eldar Deathstar is little better than Screamerstar.

Tau really dont have a prayer against a properly ran seerstar with wave serpents. Taus strength entirely relies during the terrain placement. The more LOS blocking terrain the worse they do. The recent LVO open broke tau due to something as simple as eldar existing and two LOS blocking terrain pieces per board.

To the original question the army is enjoyable but you will win or lose big. You will never really see close games with only 14 models.

Well Guard won the actual event and its an American event where people just don't get death stars. There's a great Eldar DEldar death star but its the beast pack with Deldar being the bigger part.

Quick question, list has been modified so there is now 4 Psycannons. What's better? Psybolt or Mastercraft all Psycannons?

If you can you can add an inquisitor to the group. Make him psyker and give him divination power(primaris) this way all in the unit are twin linked inculning cc. So take psybolt.

I don't think this list will lose half as bad as you're saying. I'd bet money your group of Nob Bikes would get crushed by a group of properly equipped Pallies in CC.

Nobs always get smashed by GK anything in close combat. Cause GKs go first, Nobs get an invuln then lose two wounds and are denied FNP. This is no ancient secret.

What the hell is Syderstar? Everytime I think I'm up to date a new star is born! Competitive 40k is practically a galaxy of these damn stars now

Sorry autocorrect Spyderstar. Its Zandrekh, Obyron, a Destroyer Lord and a bunch of Tomb Spyders. You deny your opponent his best special rules, are T6 and absolutely murder in combat.

As I say though in the American Tournament scene you don't have the same proliferation of death stars as they are quite behind the game. Just look at LVO where Seer star cleared up which is not even the best Eldar deathstar (Eldrad + dogs). I mean when looking at the power of Deathstars you need to consider speed, damage output, survivability and other special bonuses. Seer star is at best mid level on any of those. Its mobility is not better than any of the Gating stars (it can move further in a turn but only if it doesn't attack and doesn't have the baron), its damage output is very poor for a deathstar, survivability is again mid level (all the other death stars ignore its cover and armour so at best you've got a 4++ reroll able and T4, the baron only really makinga difference against non-mobile armies). Whilst with no ignore cover as standard or MH or TH it doesn't bring anything else to the party. Yes against non-deathstars it'll clean up. But against the top tier deathstars it just doesn't match up.

Not as dead as the effectiveness of ellipses after the first one!

Draigowing kinda sucks because of the move to shooting. Mind you, Draigowing bones one of the most common armies (Daemons, specifically rush list daemons), but the army simply isn't viable with so much S8 or high-AP shooting flying around.

Think of how easily a unit of paladins dies to a single riptide. You could easily remove 3 models from one measily 225 point model's weaponry.

Orks with lootas, dakka jets, bikes, and boy blobs are pretty good..

Not dead, just not as hot as it was, still a slow moving blob of death. Just has more counters now
