So Cadian Blood (The tale of a squad of guardsmen battling through a city of plague zombies in case you aren't familiar but would be interested in that sort of thing) is the only Black library book I've ever read and I kinda liked but I was wondering how any more active 40K novel readers might rank it compared to other 40k novels.

I enjoyed it. I quite like most of the Guardsmen novels actually... though the Tallarn one was a bit odd.
Incidentally it was about a company not a squad...

I love the IG novels I've read so far which include Gaunt's Ghost Omnibus 1 and 2, and I currently am just starting 3.
