Firstly, I haven't played in close to 12 years but I have been lurking now and again. (In other words, bear with me)

I used to play CSM but like them mainly for the Daemons side of things, thus I'm now making the switch to Daemons to come back to.

I'm going to be playing a few friendly's with my buddy this weekend and wanted to throw together some fun lists that I can learn from. Please feel free to critique on what you think is terrible/would assist me.

For reference, my mate will be fielding Tau, winning isn't my main concern, but at the same time, in the future it may be a concern, so advice on how I should approach certain situations would also be greatly appreciated.

The herald will remain buried in the hounds. The exalted reward is for grimoire which will be directed at the hounds. Fateweaver is for general support and the re-roll on Grimoire. Plaguebearers for objectives and horrors for the flickering fire. I was thinking about sneaking in a portaglyph since it will be quite effective in such a low points army, but I couldn't fit it in points wise. I could run a LoC instead of Fateweaver and give him Portaglyph but I don't like the idea of a Grimoire without Fateweaver. I don't think I'm skilled enough to correctly used a LoC yet either.

Its all about FMCs, the screamer star, and flesh hounds.

at 750 points, it would be quite fun to run a single blood thirster

id go for flesh hounds at this point range as they are the cheapest by far of the 3 most powerful sections of the dex.
