So a little background on these guys. By the end of 5th edition I was getting bored playing my Tau and decided I wanted to give another army a go. In my regular gaming group, most people had "good armies", so it wasn't uncommon to see Space Marines vs. Space Marines/Grey Knights/Imperial Guard etc. So I figured for aesthetics and fluff (why are the Grey Knights so mad at the Black Templars?), I'd probably want to go Chaos. They could fight anyone and it'd look good/make sense. After reading the pre-6th edition Chaos book... I found it pretty boring and not too interesting with an absence of a lot of choices. Either way, I thought about how awesome Khorne Juggernauts were, and would've loved to see a unit of them running around punching things in the face. Without a proper analog in the Chaos Codex, Space Wolves looked like the next best alternative. To make it even easier, Grey Hunters pretty much had all the stats/equipment/rules that Chaos Space Marines had, with the added bonus of better rules and being way more efficient. And I figured, 6th edition was coming out, so it'd be nice to have a new army to ring in the new edition. So began my army...
... Flash forward to today. This conversion basically took like 3 years because of my on and off again interest in
40k. 6th Edition tempered my enthusiasm for the game, so now I've reverted back to what got me really into the hobby 14 years ago... painting! So here they are, 3 years later. My Khorne Juggerknights. There are more pictures in my gallery, although the picture quality looks a bit spotty sadly.
They're 95% done, and wouldn't mind some feedback on them. Thanks in advance!
