Thanks for the kind words. Please note that all the photos are terrible and taken with very poor lighting I shall take some better photos when he is finished and I am back at uni with some good lights.

@Kid_Kyoto - He is made from a very heavily dremelled Captain Stern with plastic terminator arms and the chaos pointing powerfist, his power pack is something from a GW tank sprue, his head is from the commander box. His Iron Halo is the axe head from the old techmarine dremelled flat and the everything else is a mix of green stuff and brown stuff.

At first glance in the unfinished pics, the green stuff makes it look really dirty, but the painted arm, wow, just sweet and crisp and clean. A giant red powerfist to boot. My marines would probaly have to steal that from him.

Incredibly awesome model. I haven't seen rebuilt marines this sweet since ESDK first came along with his huge terminators.

Here is an update he has had some gaps filled with greenstuff and a rivet added that fell off on the painted sections so I know that there are small blemishes that need touching up, again with bad photos as ever, but with any luck he will be finished by saturday night and i can get you some good photos on sunday.

For all the comments about him lacking much Mechanicus style stuff I haven't added much as this was a fairly quick conversion to amuse me in the Easter Holidays, so he has no servo arm and only a strom bolter as I didn't really have the time to do a more intricate conversion, also I did make him with only the bits I had lying around, which aren't very varied and do not include anything servo arm like or any interesting guns.

@Anung Un Rama - Sorry I missed your first question, if I were to use him I would use the rules for an Inquisitor in Terminator Armour and have mildly plannned a themed army around this concept with Grey Knights in Power armour done up in a similar style to this and Vostroyans with the big hats removed and hoods added to be storm troopers, but I only model in the holidays as I am too busy to do it in the term time in Uni. This army idea will of course never really happen.

@jojo_monkey_boy - To paint the red I start over a white undercoat and paint a couple of coats of thinned red gore, this is shaded with purple ink in the recesses. the highlights are done by adding blood red in about three stages to the red gore until it is 100% blood red then blazing orange is added in the same way as the blood red to the mix withthe last coat of blazing orange going only on the very highest points. The entire red is then glazed over with a glaze of red gore to combat some of the orangeness coming from the highlights and also to smooth over the general highlights. The red has more depth which i hope will show when I take better photos. I hope this helps.

Well I commented this in B&C but I cant access it currently. Add scrolls and purity seals to this figure, lots of them! Some servo skulls playing around him might also be very fitting! You dont have to give him a servo arm (not all members of the Ad Mech have servo arms) but you could perhaps add some weird beaked bayonet or a chainsword bayonet to his stormbolter. And oh yeah remove that wing from the bolter and stick an ad Mech skull there!

Here he is in his finished state, he will not be changed now as I have sold him, but better pictures as promised.

There is my friend.A little black ink job to separate the plates.

But except that,its gorgeous.I love it.Strange you kept the eagle on the stormy though,why not redo an AM cog on it?

Very nice stuff, I agree the plates need some inking or shading or something but a brilliant conversion.

Oh and Symbio you forgot to note that he is both angry and bald. That just about makes him the perfect GW figure.

hmm i know what you mean. can't quite figure it out. My guess is that the top layer shoulder pads should be a little closer to the head (overlapping the neck guard more) and maybe a little bigger.

I think it's great though! well done. Surprised you've sold it actually, it'd be something I'd stick on my proud of shelf
