Land Raider Pilot on Cruise Control

I tried this list out once I received my Crimson Hunter.

HQ

Jetseer: bike, spear, MotLG

Troops

Windriders x 5, +1 Shuri-cannon

3x 5 DA in a Wave Serpent with Shuri-cannon, HF, and twin-linked Scatter Lasers

Elites

Fire Dragons x5 in a Wave Serpent with Shuri-cannon, HF, and twin-linked Scatter Lasers

Heavy Support

2x Fire Prism with HF and Shuri-cannons

War Walkers x 3, each with a BL and Scatter Laser.

Fast Attack

Crimson Hunter, Exarch, Night Vision, Marksman's Eye

Total: 1845

Things went well, turn1 most of his vehicles were popped and we shot up his Infantry and Bikers. Then his Air support came in and things got a bit sticky.

Thoughts and CC welcome.

The Twilight Zone

Looks solid. I second dual lance or dual scatter on the walkers.

It would be a good idea to get a 6th jetbike, so you can buy a second cannon. The shuricannos are not really needed on the prism; personally I find the range of the cannon is beneficial, and try to stay out of 24". Maybe take ghostwalk matrixes, or spirit stones.

The hunter can certainly lose night vision, and probably marksman's eye. A situation for night vision to matter on a hunter exarch is the following: It is turn 5+, and night vision has kicked in(so game is going on, and no night vision T1), the hunter is still alive, and needs to shoot a target more than 12" away(since it can fly and turn, It should be easy to get close). The games this will happen, and negating a cover save from the dark changing the outcome are probably less than one in a million. Marksman's eye is a similar story: Hunters are primarly there for AA duty, and then to nuke every last piece of armor on the board. After that, you can shoot TEQ and MC's, going down the priority list till you hit GEQ. You already have precision shot, and most of the time if your sniping, your looking for a character, which can Look out Sir the shot. Still more useful than night vision.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.
