Dwarf Players.

We now have the option of paying the points for Multiple copies of the same rune, and gain additional effects. Several of the Runes, like Rune of Burning for example, only have the one effect and state that multiples of this rune have no effect. Are we still allowed to take multiples of the Rune for no additional benefit to meet the restrictions?

Example: Im running tight on points and really want both my Organ Guns to have Flaming. Can I take 1 Rune of Burning on the first one, and 2 Runes of Burning on the second one?

I don't have the book yet. I will get it today later.

But the BRB rule is multiples have no EFFECT. That's not the same as are impossible or improbable or not allowed.

e.g., you can only buy one magic weapon. That's a real limitation. Not allowed. But if you buy a sword of ASF and already have ASF, it merely has no additional effect. Nothing stopping you from buying it...to show off to your friends.

Again, I don't have the book, but if there is nothing saying "you can't take two of the same", then, like Duke says, there's nothing stopping you. Just because something has no effect, doesn't mean you can't take it.

Taking two runes of burning is allowed, as you can take the same rune more than once apart from a master rune. So seems legit, for now...

So how about for the rune limit - do three runes of burning = three rune slots used up or is it only ONE rune of burning that is just more powerful then the rest. Please advise!

And to answer the OP - it seems legit but it definitely is not in the fashion of what the authors wanted I am certain!

Taking 3 Runes of Burning has the same effect as one. They still take up all 3 slots.

Even the points on the ones with the limits take up the slots respectively. They even give examples to support it.
