1000 points per team

Dwarf Army Still Up in the Air, but will likely consist of at least 2 Gyrocopters and a bunch of Iorn Breakers. Remaining points would be spent on magic defense and artillery.

Empire Army

Hero:
Warrior Priest: Heavy Armor, Shield, Barded Warhorse, Van Horstmann's Speculum, Dragon Helm (135)

Core:
9 inner circle Knighs with full Command (255)

Special:
DemiGryphs 3 (174)
Great Swords 12 (FC) - 150
Detachment Militia x6 - 36

Rare:
Steam Tank (250)

Thoughts:

The Steam Tank and the Gyro's will advance along flanks, Gyros jumping and attempting to whittle down LARGE units that will benefit the most from steadfast (Skaven slaves, empire blobs, and other light infantry)
Great Swords and their (Now Stubborn) Detachment will intervene and attempt a two - phase charge block and hold. (force a bade charge on the detachment if possible and either redirect, or hold if even of the 6 survive)
Use the Great Swords to hold anything which can't deal out 10 wounds in one round in place so either dwarf blocks or the Empire cavalry can flank it.

Thoughts on the Priest: Use the priest and cavalry to go hunting the Enemies Strongest Fighter. Utilizing the benefits from the Speculum to Challenge and hopefully Assassinate any nasty stat fighters out there. (Vampires and Such come to mind)

I say drop the GS and FC for more knights, and buy a captin with bsb, FPA, shield, GW, and barded horse.

I just think keep it all mounted and fast.

The plan sounds good, although my first idea was to drop the GS + FC as well and get Pistoliers or Archers instead. Both can divert stuff just as well (especially Pistoliers, and especially double Pistoliers double fleeing). Plinging off a few dudes here and there, often without any fear of retaliation, is also quite decent in smaller games.
