Corpse filled trench somewhere.

So I was re-painting my Guardsmen and I thought of a cool paint scheme.

Abandon black for the outer trench coat and left pauldrons and helmet (Helmet will be metallic).

Inner trench coat darkened red (Evil sunz or Mephiston painted over with Nuln oil?).

Right pauldron White and red (Darkened with Nuln oil).

Trench coat Highlighted with some greyish paint.

Gas mask Tallarn sand highlighted then washed.

What do you think?

Just a thought, you might get more of a response with a painted example of your scheme, then simply describing it for us.

Agreed a painted test mini would be very helpful. The scheme itself sounds good though so i think people need to see an example before they can offer any input

Thanks guys, ill probably be able to get you a Death Rider example this week. I know this sounds a bit weird but I'm basing the colour scheme off the SS, as their uniform looks eerily similar to the guard.

Its not that weird to be honest, alot of us have drawn the similarities. But that said, they actually pull more inspiration from the French uniforms of WW1

Yeah, I saw that the helmet was more like the French ones. But hey, guess I was just bored of the other schemes so I wanted a dark one.

I had thought of doing some Dkok using pea dot or alpenflage camoflage for their pants, to give them a more german look. But then I remembered Ive got far too many models to paint before I move to krieg.

If you want to batch paint them and do it easy, I recommend either one of these schemes. Looks good and slightly similar to Pea dot.
