I want to do something on the more shooty, offensive side, but not instantly die in CC I was thinking about something like this- HQ- Vulkan He'stan Bray'arth Ashmantle, DP- Warlord Troops- 10 Tacts- HF, Flamer, DP 10 Scouts- Snipers, Camo Heavy Support- 6 DCents, Omniscope, Gravcannon 4 DCents, Omniscope, Gravcannon ------------------------------------------ Allies- Coteaz Warband- 10 Acyoltes, 7 with HotShots, 3 with Combi-Metlas (Plas guns maybe?), Chimera Warband- 8 Crusdaers

Wrong forum. Should be in Army Lists.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Although, on a humorous note, there is a rules discrepancy in your list.
Isn't Ashmantle restricted to only being able to be your Warlord if there are no other eligible choices?

And can I ask a personal question- with only three weapons that benefit from the Chapter Tactics of the Salamanders, why even go with that army choice at that point? Do you think that with this loadout you might be better off with a different Chapter? Not trying to be mean, just curious.

its more of a personal, narrative thing. I love them, they are painted all green, the hq's are badass... this isnt the typical Salamander army, but its still one.
also, lets count.
2 from Bray'arth, 1 from vulkan, 2 from tacts, 3 from warriors, 1 from chimera. so its like 8... still not the best but i mean

I really admire someone going for an army that's personal to them over a competitive list, if your playing against another it just makes for a great game rather than some list that will table a player after rolling a few dice.

As pointed out above, Bray'arth cannot be your warlord. The Flamecraft rule only applies to weapons in a Salamanders detachment, and only to models with the chapter tactics rule. It looks like Dreadfire flamers are actually two heavy flamers with special rules? Then yes they will be improved by flamecraft, but that means Bray'arth has four of them, not two. Vulkan's gauntlet is probably a flamer weapon, but being that its a relic don't be shocked if some one questions that (also the digital weapons are entirely redundant if the gauntlet is also flamecrafted) and you have two in your tactical squad, but the chimera does not have the chapter tactics rule nor is it in a salamanders detachment so its not going to benefit from flamecraft. The acolytes (warriors?) also are not going to have the combi-meltas improved by Vulkan either. again the forgefather rule only applies to vulkan's detachment and these guys are not in it.
Also, what codex are you using for Coteaz and the warbands ?
