This is my work in progress remote controlled Chaos land raider. I plan on making another video series on exactly how it was done and sharing with my subscribers all the fun info that goes into this seriously involved project. Also, it may be a few months, but I plan on posting a completed, well made, "finished product" video.

Thanks, I have to give credit to bob panda. Although the work is entirely mine, it is based on his designs.

Very, very cool. Is that a fairly strait forward build or is there a lot of fiddly bits to work out?

Um.. I wouldn't recommend it as a first attempt at something like this. As I said earlier, I plan on doing a tutorial (ive video-ed various stages of the build process) and that might take a few months for me to get editied and posted, but that aside....

This has been the most complex and difficult build I've ever done. The electronics themselves come from a donor kit 1/30th scale RC tank, which sounds like it should be swapping one for another right? ... Wrong. Once you have the donor tank, the real trick is making it's guts fit inside a heavily modded land raider's internals and keeping it looking right. Then there was the re-wire and solder/desolder. Half of the cheap ass wires the donor tank came with broke on me, so I had to rewire a good bit of that and desolder stuff on the circut board (so if you dont have the soldering chops to do that... ) Then there was the lighting, but I think the two most difficult parts were the rotating top turret and the front gun. It probably took me a month alone to get those working how I wanted. The mechanics from the tank simply dont work how I wanted them to and BobPanda's example didnt really show how he did it on either of those so i had to fake it and figure it out myself. I also put a few of my own unique touches on it like the light up exhaust stacks on the back, placement of the on/off switch, and if you look closely, you'll see an exposed engine on the rear of the LR.

As for the plastics parts of it, it wasnt overly difficult. I had to extend the width of the LR about 1/4th in (the width of a sprue) on each side to allow some room for the tracks to move, but beyond that, it was putting a normal land raider together.
