This is for the first turn of a campaign. Our HQ's are locked for the campaign, so I'm saddled with Farsight even at low points. Here's what I've got:

HQ- Commander Farsight

Troops- x3 Crisis Suits, x2 w/ 2 fusion, target lock, x1 w/ TL burst cannon and vector locked thrusters, two gun drones

x1 Crisis suit, w/ x2 missile pods, x2 gun drones

x1 Crisis suit, w/ x2 missile pods, x1 gun drone

The solo-suits will start on the board and hug cover like no other, and farsight and the 3 man block of suits will typically deep strike, although that's not mandatory. Thoughts?

Does Farsight not scatter in the Enclave book?

Also curious if you're locked in with the same wargear through the entire campaign.

I'd suggest just a slight change.
Farsight
3x Crisis Suits, bonded.
2 with 2x plasma one with the thrusters
1 with 2 fusion and target lock.

If he doesn't scatter this gives you the ability to put him right where that firepower will do the most damage, and making the unit scoring works even better.

The two solo suits, I'd keep as dual missiles, but don't really see the purpose of the gun drones. I'd cut them and get some other upgrades.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

I haven't got my farsight enclave book yet, although I'm 90% sure he doesn't scatter.
I like your suggestion of the two with plasma, but I'm a little worried about tanks at this point. I'm hoping missiles will take care of infantry, but who knows. I had another idea for a list as well.

Farsight

x3 suits, bonded
x1 w' burst cannon, drone controller, vector locked thrusters,
x2 w/ Tl plasma rifle, plasma rifle
x6 gun drones

x1 suit w/ x2 fusion
x1 suit w/ x2 fusion

That would let me start with a bigger squad on-board turn one, I'd have a smaller reserve footprint (I'd just reserve farsight and one fusion suit) and I'd have some anti tank in my backfield in case of drop pods.

If you're taking Farsight you want to abuse that deepstriking. A single fusion should work, since it's doubtful you'll see too much that missilepods can't handle. That and the Plasma will be more versatile over the long run. The most armor I saw at 500 points was only two Leman Russ, which your plasma can damage on the backside and they are still limited in actual troops.

The best advice I can give at 500 points is make your list to play the objective. You got a decent number of easy to hide and mobile scoring units with plenty of firepower to threaten an enemy objective. At 500 points I see too many people bring lists with the intent to easily kill 500 points of models, but they always lose on the objective aspect.
