I want to have my units on a magnetic base and i know how am going to put it together. I was wondering what strength magnet do i need? I am going to be using 1/8" x 1/16" magnets. I see a lot of N42 and N48. I found on amazon a bunch of N48 magnets for not that much, but i dont know if that would be to strong. I was thinking N40 but haven't found any.

Would N48 magnets be to strong?
Are there stores that sell 1/8" x 1/16" magnets in store and not just online?
would 1/8"x1/16" magnets be big enough for 25mm and 40mm square bases?

I use the 3/16" disc magnets from K&J Magnetics myself.

These are plenty strong enough to hold a terminator sized model upside down on a steel tray.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

My magnetic bases are from GF9.

I use cutoffs of galvanised ducting glued to mdf trays for my movement trays (HVAC specialists down the road and they let me root throught their bins).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
