I am about done on my first squad of Marines in ten years (my first painting of ANYTHING in ten years!)

Still have some little bits to do, paint the standard and a couple of tiny touchups.

Bear in mind these are -

My first minis in a decade.
My first ever attempt at highlighting
My first ever use of a wash
First ever attempt at doing purity seals (I used to file off the attached ones and not stick on the extras!)

I am building this army as an Imperial Fists successor whose homeworld and over 90% of their number was wiped out by the full might of an Eldar Craftworld for reasons known only to their Alien minds as such I want a simple paint job with a fair bit of wear and tear and grubbiness, I think I have achieved a lot of what I wanted and started to relearn and learn a lot of the technique I need.

Basing is the order of the day tomorrow, keeping it quite simple for now with a black asphalt style flock to match my planned city ruins board.

I think I might buy some empty shell casings etc just to jazz up one or two of the bases.

More done last couple of days.

Another Tactical squad, some scouts and the first bit of basing, I have put a black urban flock on that I will top up with some little bits of rock and shell casings here and there over the next few days.

Overall I am pretty happy, want to get this little 1200 point force done to game with soon.

My intention with this army was to A get playing again and learn the new rule book and B get back up to speed on my paint.

I have kept them relatively simple and feel better for it, some light highlights and getting my brush control back up, I will probably do a Cadian army after this is finished that I will spend some serious time on detailing.

Continuing the Army theme the Rhino/Razorback is done.

Not my greatest work and not a patch on some of the beautiful vehicles I have seen on here but matches the troops well and now I have also finished the one Veteran I have painted I have a little force for a couple of friendly games this weekend.
