Now statisticly speaking in close combat who do you think would win i personally say Karandras because hes nasty and terrifying even more so then those monolithic wraith bone structures looming over the battlefield and is probably a much better use of your points but what do you the people of Dakkadakka believe?

The bigger issue is that Karandras takes up a valuable slot in an Eldar army. Weird to say that with HQ, but it's one of the most important slots in the codex. Farseers are just that important. Wraithknights only have to compete list-wise with Fire Prisms, War Walkers and Dark Reapers, and point for point does about as good if not better than a lot of those.

I like Karandras, I really do. He's about 40 points more than I'm willing to spend on what he can do, though. I am not really a fan of his warlord trait, either. I dislike the 1-use only ones.

PLs need a Battle Fortune inv save on every one of them by default(it'd make bloody sense, given that they're ALL immortal and destined to fight on till the end of days, literally) and 4W to be worth their cost. Karandras also needs Shrouded, so he can actually compliment his SS aspect. Up the points to 250, if you must, but honestly, at that point he's almost as expensive as the CM on a bike with AA/SE, who has a better inv and a lot better mobility.

Honestly, a 200+ models for 3W and no inv? I concede that their offense is amazing(defense in Asurmen's case), but they're laughably easy to kill(or, again, in Asurmen's case it's the other way around).

No PL is competitive, some can be useful and others are better left on a shelf, while the WK is useful in every game, in every situation and in every battle.

Even in 1 vs 1, WK would probably kill Karandras, even if Karandras somehow managed to charge the WK. 6 attacks, 4 hits, 2 wounds. WK has 4 attacks, 2 hits, 2 wounds(I'm rounding these up, as you can see). Next round, Karandras does 2 more wounds, while taking 2 more in return. End result is dead Karandras and a WK with 2W left.

Your math is slightly off. On the charge karandras does 4 hits-3wounds(monster hunter). But I agree with your point in general ;p

Ah, right, forgot the MH. He'd never get the charge, though, so realistically, the math isn't far off.

Not to mention that the WK will knock two or so wounds off him with his weapons even before the melee starts.
