Ok guys, I've played BA for the better part of 4 years now and I really enjoy using the Death Company, great for Close Combat when they get into assault.

Recently a friend and I swapped armies, I played his chaos force and he played my BA list. It was a barrel of laughs, we saw things from each other's perspective and each learned a few new tricks along the way.

We spent about an hour debating rumours for the new BA codex, and we came up with a couple that we want to try, purely for funsies!

We assumed that Jump packs would drop to 3pts for DC and as Tycho has fallen into the madness of the black rage, he too can have one, for 5 pts! (and before we get people on here cursing, accusing of heresy and being gamey - this was purely for funsies, as if they got the same points drop as the recent SM 'dex)

We play alot of Apoc, once or twice per week, usually anywhere from 5k - 7.5k!

We really wanted to see how devastating an all DC army could be, so we'd be using the precise DS and assault from DS rules.

So we decided on a 6k game...

And here is the list....

DC Tycho – Jump Pack

Troops
4 x 30 Death company – jump packs, 2 plasma pistols, 2 infernus pistols, 2 hand flamers, 4 powerfists
1 x 29 Death company – as above + Lemartes
7 x Death company Dreads in Drop Pods

I know it has little in the way of heavy fire support, but in terms of apoc, first turn drop and assault, I think they’d do rather well! Just thought I'd share!

A full death company force like this would be unlikely to ever happen fluffwise, but damn it would look cool!

I'm with Rohan here, I really want to see pics of this army. It would be pretty freaking awesome to see all those DC guys, especially in the middle of fighting. I always loved seeing the mass swarm of Nid apoc pics as well haha.

I don't have all the models, I have a modest 25 man Death company, some jump pack equipped, some not.

It's just a list to see how effective it would be, but as there are no other marines than DC, I'll be using tacticals as DC.

But I'll certainly try get some pics
