Hey there Dakka Dakka!

A while ago, I posted up a test mini for a Carcharodon project I wanted to start. Below is said test mini.

I debated going back to Ultramarines, or doing Crimson Fists. But when I got The Badab War for Yule, I decided that Carcharodons were the right Chapter. Well, I have finally gotten around to working on this army, and progress is coming along. I do have a few other projects on the go, but I want to have at least 1000 points of these guys done by the summer.

Onto the first images!

I've been working on my Marines all week, and I almost have another Tactical squad as finished as the first. I've also decided that one Squad will be ranged support, and the other will act as a rampage squad, meant to get stuck in as fast as possible. I hope to get photos up soon!

Looking fantastic – gritty and brutal; and really nice posing. Will the shoulder pads match the painted version?

Sorry for the late reply.

@Apologist
Thanks for the kind words! Your'e work has been a massive inspiration in this project, more than anyone else. I plan to have a mix of shoulder pads, but they will be the same color.

@SRSFACE
I would love to do tribal tattoos and mark on the armour, but I can't seem to find any inspiration to draw from.

Updates will be coming soon on 10 more Marines, and I have decided to break up the squads. I've also been working on a Chaplain, and 5 Assault Marines. More on that soon!

Big project, I'm wrestling with going this big with my marines or just spacing the thighs and waist.
What did you start with for the torsos?

Do some googling of Maori tribal tattoos. There are some really bold designs there that you could isolate and repeat throughs the army.

Update time!

First off, thanks for all the kind words. I am really happy you folks are liking my Marines. It's important for me to do them well. First up is the Close Combat Tactical squad. I'm unsure how I want to transport them. I'm torn between a Drop Pod and Storm Raven. Any recommendations?

Next up is my support/ranged squad. I love the hell out of some of these guys, and I'm really proud of my poses.

I've also been working on an Assault Squad, and Jump Pack Chaplain to accompany them. Hopefully I can get a Contemptor to join these guys, and figure out the rest of my list. I hope you all enjoy my Marines. All that hard work is starting to come together.
