OK, so I didn't manage to place find out how to place my list out of ARMY4 here, so here it is written: (if anyone gives e some 'intel' on this, i'll change it)
Barid Hacker LT rifle +marker
Hunzakut LGL
Kum rifle+light shotgun, AP CCW
Kum rifle+light shotgun, AP CCW
Ghulam Sniper
Odalisque Spitfire
Azra'il AP rifle
Ghulam r+lsg
Ghulam r+lsg
6 regular, 3 irregular, 2 impetuous
So it's based around the starter set with a few proxies and additions, so I can use this as my starter force and do cool things from there. I've taken the Khanate as a theme until the sectorial finally comes out, but you can only go so far on that. We're probably playing YAMS or killemall, or a modified version of the ITS board control missions. There's only one question, it's about the Odalisque. I've got very little long-ranged weapons. This is not THAT much of a problem, as this list is all about smoking the battlefield(that's what the Kum are for, plus the occasional quick flanking action) and taking advantage of that with hacking and DTWs and getting stuck in. For the same points I can get a spitfire on a Muyib, wich also has an X-visor so it fills the ranged gap better. OTOH, I lose an DTW, I-kohl, and one level of Valor. This is my main problem with the Muyib, as I've got two dogged models already and my regular order pool is rather weak already, so it will cut in my orders very fast if I have to feed two berzerkers in one turn. I don't think that religious and a D-charge will make up for this. What would you guys do?
BTW, are there any balance issues with YAMS on smaller points levels? I imagine it would be rather hard to complete Hold the Line (not being in retreat). If so, what would you suggest on fixing it?

I'm a bit biased being the author, but I've found YAMS works pretty well at anything above 100 points or so.
One issue is that you're quite short on Regular Orders so if you have to start reining in the Bikers because of Mines, models with MSV2, too many models that can ARO etc. then you're going to find things a bit tough. It doesn't make the list unusable at all but it could be tough if you go second and your opponent kills a few of your Regular models.
Odalisque v. Muyib is always a tough one. The Muyib is arguable a bit better on the active turn but the Odalisque is more robust due to NWI and is also a better defender due to either Sixth Sense 2 or 360 Visor, plus a direct template weapon.

I can hold the Kum on the leash without it affecting my order pool: Haqqislam has done a great job showing that being irregular isn't ALWAYS a disadvantage (note the Hunzakut). The only problem is having too much Dogged models to get advantage out of it.
About the Odalisque vs Muyib: Well, guess it's time for a coin toss then...
PS: I don't think authors of rulesets are more POSITIVELY biased than others: They can see most issues best, and will generally try to fix it because one unbalancing renders their whole system useless...

Yeah, I didn't explain myself properly there.
If you need smoke to cover your advance but the Bikers can't afford to move impetuously, you're now eating into your very small pool of Regular Orders to get the smoke down.

My answer is Muyib vs Odalisque is to take both. Both do their jobs well and I don't like leaving either at home.
Regarding YAMS, I find it a bit more balanced than ITS in that it doesn't require specialists. With ITS, if you don't take a hacker, you might roll classified objectives you can't do. While this means in YAMS specialists will be less important (and FO's pretty scarce unless you're using guided weapons), it at least frees up list building, whereas ITS tends to be '4 specialists and whatever else I can fit'. But then, different strokes etc.

In Army Builder, select the 'copy to clipboard (forum)' option or just hit F10, and then paste it or ctrl-V it into the message box on this forum. Easy Peasy.
I'd like to figure out how to print to PDF with the Army Builder. It's easy enough with Aleph's Toolbox.
Goiing to have some interesting decisions about that order pool, I think.

Like this? Thanks, I think how to do this should be included in the beginner help thread.
