This is my 1500pt tourney fists list. I would appreciate any assistance in hints and tips.
I had mixed results found myself very slow. But gun line once in a defensive position was strong!

Pedro kantor
+ honour guard
+ razorback
+ assault cannon

( HG are mainly a bullet magnet to keep Pedro alive but running up to an enemy controlled objective piling out worked effectively)

Librarian
+ lvl 2 psyker
+bolt pistol for boltgun
+the shield eternal

Tactical squad
+5 marines
+flamer
+las cannon
+ veteran sgt
+ power fist

Tactical squad (as above)

Scouts
+ camo cloaks
+5x sniper rifle

Sternguard
+ 5 veterans
+heavy flamer

Whirlwind

Predator
+ twin linked las cannon

Stormtalon
+ las cannon

Lot of las as in my local gaming store we have a lot of riptides, wraithknights and tyranid MC lists.

Successful units:

Pedro and HG
Sternguard
Stormtalon
Whirlwind

Mediocre units:
Librarian (my rolls suck for psychic)
Predator ( such a bullet magnet)

Personally I would drop the Vet Sgt and Powerfist upgrades on the Tac sgts (points heavy for little or no gain)

With the points I'd give t he sternguard and honour guard some kind of transport.

If you are able or willing to get different models I find the Thunderfire Cannon works much better than whirlwinds do. I'd consider dropping the whirlwind and the predator for 2 TFC's. This has the added advantage of giving your non-mobile squads 2 pieces of bolstered ruins to hide behind.

I'd also consider dropping the libby and putting in another stormtalon instead. Typically the libby is used as a cheap HQ, but as you have Pedro you don't really need him for much (especially since he can't take divination).

i agree about dropping the vet sarg.

For crimson fists i believe playing to our strengths.

Bolter guns, devastators and Sternguard are what Crimson Fists should be using.

As a Crimson Fist player, at 1500 points i play something like:

Pedro
+ 6 Honor Guard
in a Drop Pod

8 Tactical Marines in a Drop Pod

8 Tactical Marines in a Drop Pod

8 Sternguard in a Drop Pod

8 Sternguard in a Drop Pod

7 Devastators + 4 Lascannons

7 Devastators + 4 ML and Flakk missles

something like that. With Pedros rule making Sternguard scoring you get 32 scoring marines.

Flakk missles are by and large underwhelming but i think they work for fists because of Tank Hunters.

A Drop Pod list not only makes you faster, letting you get units wherever you need quickl, but also lets you (barring wild scattering) lets you keep units together, which greatly benefits them with Pedro's +1 attack rule.

The list is also flexable, Pedro doesnt hav to go with the Honor Guard, if it suits the mission you can put hijm in any of the pods.

Both are good ideas I like the smaller squads with transport.

Hadn't thought of drop pods I have a drop pod assault army(wolves as grey hunters are broken) but a good idea I'll give it a try sometime and yeah I think dropping the power fist and vet sgt deffinately sounds like a plan! I had created them as a maybe just incase but have to admit only units who got into cc were the stern and HG
