What it says on the tin, I want to scratch build an ethereal, I hate the models from GW. Any tips, examples or third party models I should know about?

Have you thought about using the Empire Battle Wizard and doing a head swap? Some of them look pretty nifty.

Could work, I like that scythe, going for chaos corrupted, so it would be appropriate, but anything less... Ornate? Any thoughts on maybe a conversion from a commissar?

Swap head.

If its meant to be chaossy then maybe use a flaggelent nutter with a head sqap and hooves. Would look funny with a repent sign on him going nits for his god....

The warrior Acolyte might work, He is fancy, but not too fancy, he does show his feet, wears mittens, and for a GW model, he is cheap! I could head swap him and change out his torch for a spear.
