Subject: Can GS be used for SFX on your skin?

Hey all,
The context for this is that I have an undead themed party tomorrow night. So to go with that I was wondering if you can use GS to sculpt cuts and gashes on your skin? What I'm thinking is just modelling it on myself to begin with, with a combination of standard GS + liquid GS then peeling it off, and putting some glue underneath as I cant imagine it would stick that well to skin. Has anyone tried anything similar? Or should I just go buy some silicon stuff from the shops?
Another point Im wondering about is when to make it. I feel if I do it tonight, it'll set by tomorrow and then could be too brittle to stay on without cracking. So should I do it only a few hours before hand so it will still be relatively plastic?
Cheers

You would be far better off with silicon. GW isn't really flexible enough.

Yeah thats what I'm feeling, just wondering if it was possible as I have GS lying around, but no silicon... Thanks though

Silicone rubber prosthetics will work better.
Hell, LATEX rubber would work better.
Nothwithstanding the "skin irritant" issues that GS and other epoxy putties tend to have.

If you want to do it cheaply. You can use 3d "puffy paints" draw out what you want on wax paper. Peel it off and use spirit gum to attach it. It comes in different colors and pretty sure you could paint over it.

What disturbs me most is this:
then peeling it off, and putting some glue underneath as I cant imagine it would stick that well to skin.
Dude, you want to glue something to your skin? I wouldn't advise that...

How do you think SFX prosthetics are normally attached...?

I recommend the latex, rubber kits.
I used one last halloween and its basically a liquid that you pour onto the skin in a thin layer, then you just pick at it with some tweezers to create a teared flesh look, layer again, tweezer again and repeat over and over until you have this really nice looking torn, cut flesh look. Then just squirt some fake blood into it and put some make-up over the latex and it looks really really good
