Hello Dakka, was reading the Grey Knight book called the Emporer's Gift and got the crazy idea to write out and design the main character Hyperion (based off the end of the book) for use in normal WH40k games. Obviously he is an HQ choice for the Codex: Grey Knights. This as of right now is a very rough draft as I burned it out in about an hour or so before posting this for you guys' eyes to see. Comment's and balance suggestions down below would be very much appreciated! So here's the rules:
Prognosticar Hyperion - 180 points
WS - 5
BS - 6
S - 4
T - 4
W - 3
I - 4
A - 3
LD - 10
AS - 2+/3++
::Wargear::
Frag Grenades
Krak Grenades
Psyk-out Grenades
Bolt Pistol
Staff of Castian
Storm Bolter
Artificer Armor
Psychic Hood
Force Sword
::Special Rules::
The Aegis
And They Shall Know No Fear

Preferred Enemy (Demons)
Mirror Psyker
Known as "Two Guns"
Survivor of Armageddon
Prognosticar
::The Staff of Castian::
A prized artifact of the Castian squad's heritage given to Hyperion upon attaining his Knighthood as a fully fledged Grey Knight. Hyperion cherished this honor and strove to add even more honor and Prestige to his squad's name in it's service.
The Staff of Castian is a Master-crafted Nemesis Force Staff with the exception of the normal invulnerable save granted by the weapon functions for both shooting and assault but is instead a 3++.
::Mirror Psyker::
Hyperion's latent Psychic power manifests in a seemingly vampiric nature. His own powers are near his brothers by himself however, when he joins his own powers to his squad's; and any other Psykers within reach, his power's grow vastly more potent.
Hyperion is Psyker Mastery Level 2. When Hyperion generates Warp Charges, he gains an addition Charge for each Psyker in the Unit he is attached to (Units containing models with the "Brotherhood of Psykers" Special Rule count as a single Psyker for the purposes of determining the number of Charges generated)
::Known as "Two Guns"::
Relatively early in his service among Castian squad a frequent Inquisitional companion gave him the nickname "Two Guns" in reverence to his tendency to carry a Bolt Pistol to complement his Storm Bolter, often using them en tandem. Among Castian squad, his marksmanship was far above the others and frequently put into use to great effect against the Great Enemy.
When Shooting, Hyperion's Storm Bolter is treated as a Pistol during the Phase.
::Survivor of Armageddon::
Counted among the few Grey Knights present on the planet Armageddon responsible for the slaying of a great Demon Lord, the corrupted remains of what used to be the Primarch Angron. In truth, Hyperion is the Knight responsible for the shattering of the fallen Primarch's black blade, in a devastating show of psychic power. The act earned him the title of Bladebreaker from the Space Wolves involved in the battle. Relations fell through between the Space Wolves and the Inquisition; the Grey Knights included soon after in a dispute of the aftermath. This culminated into a struggle between the two forces and eventually led to a confrontation between Hyperion and the Great Wolf Jarl Logan Grimnar.
Enemy models from Codex: Space Wolves gain Hatred (Grey Knights) when charging a unit that contains Hyperion until the end of the Assault Phase. In addition, any Army including Hyperion cannot take an Allied Detachment from Codex:Space Wolves.
:: Prognosticar::
Hyperion was elevated to the rank of Prognosricar for his Psychic prowess. Due to this, he has now become the sole Prognosticar after his mentor's passing soon after. Now he serves as the eyes of the Grey Knights into the Warp, searching for threats to be purged before they can become to great and also as the mentor responsible for training the new generation of Prognosticars. As such, Hyperion's duties keep him mostly far from combat yet occasionally his presence is requested for service on the battlefield once more although he refuses positions of actual leadership in memory of the fallen brothers of Castian squad.
Hyperion cannot be chosen as the Warlord of an Army.
Well there he is in all his silver glory!! I'd like help to balance out any problems might arise with him (whether buffs or nerfs needed) as I fully intend for him to be fielded in 40k games among my local gaming group. Luckily none of them are too much competitive minded and are long time lovers of the spirit of fun and fluff of the game so I know they are down with this guy hitting the table, but I'd just like to make sure he's not game breaking in any way or the opposite: worthless as can be (with my opinion of hitting the prior to be more than likely to happen). As said before, comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated. If this goes well I was also doing the same for my own fluffy custom Autarch/Farseer based upon my Craftworld's lore. (This guy is intended to be used by my brother who is an avid Grey Knight Fan).
