Hello Dakka Dakka Community!!

Figured it would be worth my while posting an introduction to myself, as I have already posted a couple of times to the gallery/showcase.

I am a newbie to Warhammer, Warhammer 40k, tabletop gameing, modeling, painting and photography... I have always had an interest in tabletop gaming and modeling, but never really has the time, money, or friends who were also into it. So here I am, age 25 with a wife and 2 kids entering the realm after being introduced by a friend at work to Warhammer Fantasy. He split a Blood Isle box with me, and I took the Skaven... who became my "lab rat" test subjects for learning painting techniques. Unfortunately the Skaven did not appeal to me as much as I thought and my interest dwindled. About half a year later, I am back after having picked out and started an army in 40K. Picking Chaos Space Marines, my friend and I split the Dark Vengeance kit. I have already completed my two "first" models, both of which I considered the hardest of my current models to do (the HQ and Hellbrute).

My hopes are to make the experience as much fun as possible by being an active part of a Warhammer community, especially the gallery and showcase where I plan on posting all of my work, for all to admire or criticize!
