Just wanting to see if my plan for a plague marine army is solid. I'm going to be a beginner and I'm looking for any advice. I've come up with this setup after doing research and thought it should play well against most anything. I plan to adjust it for smaller 1000, 1500, and 2000 point games.

HQ
Typhus

Elites
5 Terminators
Helbrute
7 plague Marines with rhino transport

Troops
7 plague Marines (with typhus)
7 Chaos Space Marines with Champion
8 Chaos Space Marines with Champion

Fast Attack
Heldrake with baleflamer
3 Chaos Spawns

Heavy Support
3 Obliterators
3 Obliterators
Add land raider for termies for 2000 point games?

Any suggestions on additions or wargear? Will this be easy to play and pickup? How well should it work? Also I want to stay Nurgle themed.
Thanks in advance.

If you're running Typhus I think you should run Zombies (if you can paint them up easy) DV had Chaos cultists you can paint up, and they should be easy to find....

Oh and put some special weapons in those squads....Plasma, Flamer and Melta are usually good choices....

What are you doing with Typhus? because if you put him with the termies they won't all fit in the land raider, since it can only take ten units (term armor counts as bulky which counts as 2 units in a transport) if not maybe you can use plague zombies (cultist upgrade) to ferry typhus into combat.

I would drop the helbrute, his crazed table makes him very hard to use and his AV is pretty weak for what you get.

since you wanted to stay nurgle themed try using more plague marines in rhinos instead of regular csm units since PMs are much more surviveable,

i would upgrade the oblits to MoN and use two plasma guns or two meltas in each PM squad you have.

Thank you both very much for replying! Are the zombies actually pretty good? I was thinking about running him with a PM squad. I'm sad to hear that the helbrutes aren't that great. How many PM squads can you run as a troop choice? I thought Typhus only made one a troop choice? Alright I'll add MoN to the Obliterators and the plasma to one PM squad and meltas to the other.
