Subject: 1750 CSM - Lords of Decay. High mobility and still diverse in tactics

Hi all
i am planning to get involved in a tournament early next month and i want to bring my Lords of Decay.
My plan is to get as quick as possible up the board, letting the chaoslord taggin' along with the bikers. And the vindicator and oblits stay behind as support. I dont know if my list is versatile enough or good as it gets with 1750pts.
I have no time to buy, assemble and / or paint any more but have the list below to my disposal, if there are some changes to be made:
1 Maulerfiend
40 cultist
Typhus
5 termies
1 Defiler
3 spawns
Dark Apostle
Sorcerer (both powerarmour and terminatorarmour)
1 Daemonprince
Lords at foot (both powerarmour and terminatorarmour)
Aegis Defenceline
We play 3 missions in random order. Purge, Emperors will and Crusade and i have no idea what to expect to be opponents.
So my questions are:
Is the list versatile enough?
Am i too vulnerable with 3 rhinos?
Should i mix and match my plague marines weapons more (eg. 1 melta and 1 plasma and so forth)?
Do you have some advise in matter of tactics or changes to the list?
My initial list are as follows:
1750 Pts - Chaos Space Marines Roster
HQ: Chaos Lord (170 pts)
1 Chaos Lord, Mark of Nurgle, Sigil of Corruption, Chaos Bike, The Black Mace
Troops: Plague Marines (238 pts)
7 Plague Marines, Plasma gun x2
Rhino, dirgecaster
Troops: Plague Marines (228 pts)
7 Plague Marines, Meltagun x2
Rhino, dirgecaster
Troops: Plague Marines (228 pts)
7 Plague Marines, Flamers x2
Rhino, dirgecaster
Fast Attack: Chaos Bikers (181 pts)
6 Chaos Bikers, Mark of Nurgle, Plasma gun x1
Fast Attack: Heldrake (170 pts)
Baleflamer
Fast Attack: Heldrake (170 pts)
Baleflamer
Heavy Support: Obliterator (228 pts)
3 Obliterator, MoN
Heavy Support: Chaos Vindicator (1#, 147 pts)
Siege Shield, Combi-Bolter, Havoc Launcher

List looks cool. My thoughts:
What are your bikers going to do? Only 1 plasma gun and no cc upgrades on the champ makes me think they're quite expensive for minimal output. Maybe find some room for at least a little more shooting. Other than that it looks solid. How resilient do your find your troops section?
Lastly putting individual upgrade costs in your list is best avoided on the forums. GW get touchy about it.

I was thinking that bikers did a chaos lord deliveryjob. But i am afraid they will draw too much attention. On the other hand it might give me time to move up my PM's in rhinos while opponents eyes are fixed on the bikers. But they will make the chaos lord vulnerable.
My plague marines have a good ratio of surviving. Still thinking of twerk a little to get a 4th troopchoice (Cultist) to claim home objective.

The Black Mace isn't quite so good on a lord because it will only be AP4, so anything in Power Armour or better will be able to laugh it off.
Other than that, seems pretty good all around.

@welshoppo - so you think the point are wasted on the mace. Should I take burning brand and cc weapon instead or just a cc weapon and use the raining points on some kind of opgrades?

I would consider splitting the obliterators into two squads, one with two and the other squad with a solo obliterator.
This allows you to attack different targets if desired. It also allows you to mix your obliterator weapons up if needed. For example, one oblit targets a squad of infantry with plasma cannon while the other two target a vehicle with multi-melta, etc.
If you don't go this way, Veterans of the Long War is needed in your group of three. I still recommend it for your group of two. If you lose one, you don't want the other one (or two!) running away, and the +1 leadership is important.
I agree with the other feedback on the bikers being under-powered. I would save some points on a few other upgrades (remove dirge caster, havoc launcher, etc) and get them another plasma gun. Maybe give the champ meltabombs so they can vehicle hunt as well. Nurgle bikers are tough to kill and pretty survivable, so you want them to be a real threat.
Your lone vindicator is going to get targeted immediately! Drop one plague marine squad + rhino and add in a cheap cultist blob for backfield objective holding. That may free up enough points to take a the maulerfiend or some spawn, taking some pressure off your vindicator. Maybe the ADL with the cultists for additional firepower and anti-air (vector striking is good against flyers, but inconsistent reserve rolls and positional uncertainty makes it tough to count on)? If you have some spare points, add another plague marine into one or both of the remaining squads for increased durability.
Anyhow, some options for you to consider.
Final comment: Showing point costs for options isn't allowed in the forum, and could result in your post being taken down. I suggest something like this:
Chaos Lord (Mark of Nurgle, Sigil of Corruption, Bike, Blake Mace) = 170 points
-Aeglos
The burning brand is an awesome weapon for a nurgle biker lord. It is essentially a 3rd baleflamer!

If you want to do the proper 'net-listed' lord it would be.
Lord, Bike, Powerfist, Lightning Claw, Burning Brand of Skalathrax, Sigil of Corruption, Mark of Nurgle - 190pts.
So he uses the Lightning Claw on soft targets and the Powerfist on heavy ones. Burning everything up like a little Heldrake on wheels.
Or you could be different and give him the Mark of Khorne and the Axe of Blind Fury instead.

Except you cannot have 3 weapons. Swapping the bikes combi-bolter is debatable.
