Hey guys, At my local gaming club were having a Tale of 30k Gamers style campaign where we each take some of the excellent forge world models and slowly paint ourselves up an army of pre-heresy goodness. Here is the first model that I finished. My Praetor Faustianus the Silent Guard. Comments are duelly welcome as my painting isn't that great and I really want to do these models justice. This was made from the Phoenix terminators kit as I'm using the rule that I can put phoenix spears on models that can take a power fist.
Suitably bling for Emperor's Children. What's that in his left hand? I think the loincloth could benefit from a more subtle gradation in tone than it currently demonstrates
I'm not really familiar with blending, like I said I am a pretty bad painter so I know how to wash and then highlight and do some dry brushing but thats where my toolbox ends. I believe the photo came out a bit faded because I had to use flash (and the purple and gold are both metallics, so my camera autocorrected the light levels.) I'm going to dig through Dakka's painting guides and see if i can find a tutorial for that blending technique and try that on the tabbard thing. Thanks a Million! (See what i did there!)
