Hey Dakka,

I'm sure someone out there can help me, at least I hope one of you can!

What with the 100th Anniversary of the start of the Great War being this year, I have been poking around the Internet and have found some great looking 10mm WW 1 figures from Pendraken Miniatures, these http://www.pendraken.co.uk/BP37-p3897/ and this awesome looking MK IV 'Male' http://www.pendraken.co.uk/BP25-p3885/ among others. But my Google-Fu has let me down, can I find a ruleset for 10mm WW 1 Wargaming? Can I heck 'as Like!

So, I'm appealing to Dakka to give me a hand in this and point me in the direction of some solid WW 1 Rulesets.

Thanks in advance guy's and gal's.

I'm considering running a 10mm scale game later this year using TFL's Through the Mud and the Blood. To account for the change in
scale I'm adapting it slightly by converting all measurements form inches to cm, which is roughly the same ratio as the conversion from 28mm to 10mm. Also if you plan to try this too then just be aware that it's a scenario
based game, so it doesn't come with army lists or a points-buy system that I'm aware of.

How to paint Skeletons the way I do if that's something you'd fancy trying.

I don't have much specific information to give you, but you'll likely find the answers here:

The only one I can think of at the moment is the WW1 variant of Panzer 8. I've not played them, but my club liked the sci-fi variant enough to make our own version, and they are free.

They are extremely streamlined though, so don't expect much detail or crunch.

If you look on the Pendraken forum there is a set of test rules for WWI. They aren't Pendraken rules btw, so if you don't like them. don't rage at them.

Kallistra have a rules set coming out to go with their 10mm range.

I am planning to use Through the Mud and the Blood, too fat lardies, when I get my trenches built - or some variation of Chain of Command.

Peter Pig has rules called Square Bashing that people seem to like. There is also Spearhead if you want to play at Divisional level.

That's all brilliant! Thanks guys, I'll check a few of those out and see how they play.
I'm between houses at the moment (saving for a deposit) but as soon as I move and sort out my man cave I will most certainly look into building a themed table.

Thanks again Dakka, I knew I could rely on you guys...

Any rules for 25mm, 15mm or 6mm could be used with a suitable adjustment to the distances.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
