Well decided to start a fantasy army. Going with VC. I have been looking everywhere for a decent painting tutorial for zombies and cant find anything that helpful. I prime black (Hate doing white) so it must be for a undercoated black model. Considering going my own route and doing more of a medium green kinda color for skin... warboss green, Camo green, and a flesh wash Maybe a Ushabti bone drybrush to finish it off..

Anyways if anyone has a tutorial or ideas that would be most appreciated!!

Consider adding normal fleshtone to your greens to lighten/highlight.

It all depends on if they are newly dead, or have been dead for awhile.

I think that Zombies with a black base coat would look best with grey, pale green, pale yellow and pale orange tones. You could try simply layering those colors using a sponge dauber and dry brushing techniques. Perhaps a bit of flaking to make it look like the flesh is falling off.

Id like them to look like they've been dead a while

You could try grey, pale green and pale blue tones to get the "dead for a while" look haha

They way I did mine:
Flesh was Rotting Flesh (according to the GW paint conversion chart, it's now Nurgling Green).
I painted all the clothes bright reds, greens, reds & yellows.
Did the wood & boots / shoes with Bestial Brown (use something like Skrag Brown).
Did the metallics with silver or chainmail (can't remember which)
Then I washed the whole model with green wash mixed with brown wash - I advise using Athonian Camoshade mixed with a bit of Agrax Earthshade.
Then you're done! Quick & easy.
You could also try Army Painter Mid Shade dipping stuff.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

You could do them like mine... but I started with a white undercoat. Making them look pale is easier with a white undercoat, lol.

Why do you insist on priming black? That's going to severely limit your possible approaches

Found this post! Going to give the first ones posted a try. The green. I wanna brighten them up a bit. Might ad another drybrush ontop of the ones he used. Thoughts?
