Have access to any craft stores? It's a fairly common item. Kids use it in art classes (at least,
we did when I was a youngin') and for dioramas/science fairs (plaster cloth has replaced (news)paper mache as the standard material for building crappy "working" volcano models), model railroaders use it to skin over the skeleton of hills in their layouts, etc. Pretty sure I've even seen it in the little arts and crafts aisle at Walmart - I imagine you can find a Canadian equivalent without having to travel far.
