Apologies for my weak search fu. I was struck by inspiration and I wondered if some one could answer a few questions.

1. When you cast something in clear resin, does it cure at room temperature?

2. Can you add ink to color the resin or will that screw the whole thing up? Even better, is there an alternative colored resins available, such as pink or blue?

Uh...there's no link or anything to let me know what exactly you're referring to. Or is there? *digs deeper into the Dakkamatrix* No, no there is not.

Yup, you're in the right place the rest of these guys in the posts below mine should be able to answer your question.

I've only used Woodland Scenics and Vallejo still water and that can be tinted with washes or inks and sets at room temperature.
I'm not sure about casting with it per say, just filling ponds, pools etc.

I have used Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast and have had great success. When you first cast the part there are a few bubbles. If you let it cure at room temperature they will rise out of the resin and you will be fine. I cast once in my basement, that is cold, and the bubbles did not rise out. FYI, I use silicone molds.
As far as color goes, you can purchase dye to go in the resin. Hobby Lobby has the resin and dyes from Alumilite. I have never tried ink in the resin when it is mixed. I do usually airbrush inks onto the part to change the color after it has cured. The ink remains translucent and I seal it with a varnish when done.
