Hi guys, i was wondering if anyone was aware of any site that has hard data on what are GWs products sales volumes over the years, i know there are a couple of sites out there that track or have the info for things like comic books, so i wonder if any one a GW equivalent.

Look in the news and rumors area for the GW Annual reports.

It goes into the sales volume in detail, but I'm not sure if it will go into # of units sold, which I think is what you want instead of $ in sales.

Exactly as kronk says.

GW are obliged by law to report the amount of money they've made each year, but they have no such compulsion with regard to volume of units sold or a breakdown across the various products.

That said, there was something that got out, I believe associated with the Chapterhouse case, which was rapidly withdrawn, that broke down the sales of various kits in the US over a number of years (numbers were surprisingly low IIRC) which is still out there somewhere.

I have and they dont, what they do is publish the money they move not the units and certainly not product by product.

Plenty of people have those files. It is a matter of finding someone who has them and can send them to you.

While i appreciate your time, what i am looking for is their real numbers, how many units and of what they actually sell, not the pretty picture they paint for the potential shareholders. Thats why i mentioned the comics, i dont quite remember the site, but there is one that publishes sales numbers by title for the mayor distributors.

All I can find is Consolidated Profits

As a GW stockist I've seen their "List of popular products". I can't remember exactly what they call it now.
This also happens to be the mandatory list that GW stockists must carry in order to stock GW.
There are a number of tiers (products) that stockists must meet in order to "unlock" a discount % for their trade price.

The list is bollocks.

You won't get them for the simple reason that GW doesn't publish them. There are a few region specific documents around but thats the best that you will get short of hacking into GW's computers and stealing the information.

People have extrapolated GW's sales figures based upon their reported revenues and the average annual price increase but as you can imagine this is an approach that is fraught with inaccuracies.

I have the pdf open in front of me, Its basic stuff that they list, no way is it the actual best sellers. Its all infantry and drop pods/transports.

Yea, but there's no need to extrapolate. The numbers (certain of them) are public. I believe Sean O'Brien has them, as I think he posted a link to the files on the public docket when they were posted, and plenty of folks downloaded them when they were available. It is merely a matter of finding someone who has them and can get them to you.

Long Jetty, The place is a dump

I can answer for the Australian market.

GW unit sales have been declining by 11.5% per year for the last 6 years.

This fiscal year alone, GW will be looking at the very real possiblility of posting a whopping 2 million pound sales loss in Australia.
