Hey guys. Just finished up my newest video battle report. I took the feedback I received from my first video and I feel like this one turned out much better. I hope you agree! Enjoy the report.

Great report! Although I question if you can take an empty wave serpent when you have 20 guardians?

1500pt O'Vesa Star W: 27 D: 2 L: 1
The challenge: in a 1500pt game I will play 900pt + D6x100 pts, if I roll a 6 I reroll and -100 to that second number (down to 1000pt minimum)

Cool report. Ironically, I figured the Tau would have a significant advantage over the Eldar terrain was a bit sparse and there was a substantial amount of Tau shooting with Markerlight support.

For the 20 strong Guardian squads, I've found just rolling all rolls on Divination to be more beneficial; I'm generally looking for the 4+ inv save for that unit which can become surprisingly resilient.

Thanks for posting.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Great batrep, enjoyed watching it. What I think you could have done better is to be more aggresive with your Guardians and the WK. Guardians are there to be a blob anyway and the WK, as you've seen and as I've learned from my many games with it, is not very effective at just shooting. He could have assaulted a Riptide much sooner and prevented it from shooting, then the Guardians, Avengers and the Wave Serpents could have focused on the other one.

But some very lucky saves on his part and poor on yours, combined with the sparsity of terrain sadly spelt doom for Eldar this game. Here's hoping for a rematch!

I feel like the eldar player was going after the wrong targets. The broadsides and the HBC riptide killed about 90% of the eldar army and in the end neither of them had a wound on them. The firewarriors really where not a threat, especially in a kill point game. Next time fire everything you got into those broadsides. You don't even need to kill all of them, because each one killed causes a moral check and they suck at taking moral. I would just play more aggressive with the eldar overall. Those 40 gardians in the back where only shooting out 4 bright lance shots a turn. There is no reason not to run them up the board where their guns can be useful.

Good report. The only thing I would suggest is trying to figure out what makes the video appear to be wavy. Don't know if its a focusing issue or something, but I started to go cross eyed half way through.

I found the issue with the wavy effect, and I fixed it. Thanks for pointing that out, it was even making me go crossed eyed while I was trying to figure it out and fix it haha.

I totally agree that the broadsides and HBC Riptide destroyed most of the army. However, there was just very little remaining after the first and second turn that was capable of returning fire on the riptide and broadside team. On tau turn one, 2 wave serpents were killed, and on turn two, a third wave serpent was destroyed and all but 10 guardians were killed as well. Without either Farseer getting Forewarning for the 4+ invul, the guardians had no chance of making it any farther then they did. Eldar turn one, all the guardians advanced forward as close as possible, and ran with battle focus. They also shot their bright lances at the broadside team, but all the cover saves were passed from the ruins they were in. On eldar turn 2, the only units remaining that could return fire at the broadside team or riptide were the wraithknight, and the warp spiders who had just arrived from reserve. The spiders shot and put 2 wounds on the HBC riptide, then jet pack moved into the woods to set up an attack on the broadside team for turn 3. Unfortunately they were all killed on tau turn 3, and the Wraithknight assaulted the other Riptide on eldar turn 3. I expected to win that combat fairly quickly, and then take out the broadside team, but the dice just wouldn't have it.
