I've been trying to hunt down a good replacement inquisitor model, and I haven't been having much luck. I'm just trying to keep my options open, so if anyone has any they've seen and thought were great, or own and love it would be greatly appreciated if they suggested them!

If it matters, its for an ordo xenos inquistor for an Armaggedon Army I'd like to do if the Imperial guard codex isn't awful.

Well let me start by asking, how do you plan on running your Ordo Xenos =][=, wargear wise?

Do you plan on running him in carapace armor, or power armor? What weapons & equipment do you like or plan on running?

I for one use the Inquisitor model below, Inquisitor Lorr, as a basis for my Ordo Xenos inquisitor.

I used this model as a base, and after a minor accident with the miniature (dropped it and the pointing finger broke off the right hand) I opted to do a weapon swap and plugged a bolt pistol in on the arm instead. He's painted up to gel a little better with a Deathwatch Killteam color wise, and overall I'm very happy with him and often use him as my Ordo Xenos =][=, Inquisitor Atticus Garrow.

If you're wanting power armor (not a bad call, honestly, as 3+ save does not ever suck in my opinion), you'll be better off either converting one up in plastic using marine bits, or

If you're looking for a more standard model without having to do a ton of conversion work, then either of these models will likely fit your bill. The first one could have either power or carapace armor, with the robes he's wearing you could get away with either option visually.

Or for a more dedicated carapace armor version:

Those are the ones I would recommend. I'm currently going to be building an Ordo Hereticus =][= in power armor that I will use as a dedicated anti-psyker type inquisitor. My Ordo Xenos =][= is almost always run as a psyker (Prescience is so very good) so having a Psyker inquisitor and a anti-psyker inquisitor lets me have my options open and enjoy some nice flexibility.

I hope that helps you, and do please keep us informed on your progress.

Take it easy

You don't know me son, so I'll explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

I'd say kit bash what you feel you'd need. I've got a couple different Inquisitors all fielding different war gear. I've used a bunch of different bits coming from the Sisters of Battle, Fantasy, Space Marines, IG, and even some Eldar and Dark Eldar bits. I've done a hand full of Crusaders for my Inquisitors retinues and they're all different. All of them have a different weapon. Some green stuff for a cloak, and a brass etching here or there. I'd recommend coming up with something that you want to do. Inquisitors are all different with their personalities and like wise their war gear. So, have some fun with it.

Advising anyone to use Gideon Lorr is a bit cruel... it's a lovely model, but it was limited edition and now goes on ebay for £30 to £40.

I'm guessing when the OP says alternative he means non GW?

Some of the Privateer Press Cygnar characters might fit the bill.

I'm not too sure on wargear. It doesn't really have to be a not GW model, just not an inquisitor model, as I'm not a fan of finecast. I would like to use Gideon Lorr, but I don't have it. I think the Empire witch hunter is great, but for power armour Inquizzie, I found a model of Hitech minatures I like, so I believe I answered my own request, but I'll certainly check out any other models if anyone posts any more.

Infinity has some good models but they don't really fit the 40k aesthetic without a bit of conversion.

I really like these Infinity models for Inquisitors myself;

But it really does depend on how you're outfitting him.

I'm actually using the Dark Angels Librarian from the DV for an Inquisitor for my Not Chaos IG army with inquistor allies
