I moved to Philly about 18 months ago from the West Coast. My main games are Warmachine, WFB and 40k, and I'm interested in finding out about the gaming scene over here. I have 2 kids under 2 so my free time is fairly limited. I live in Mount Airy in North West Philly - the nearest stores I have found are Redcaps Corner in West Philly, 7th Dimension in Jenkintown and the comic store in the Plymouth Meeting mall (name escapes me right now). If anyone lives locally or knows of any gaming clubs would be interested in hearing from you.

I think Bethlehem may be a bit too far for you, but we have a group at The Portal Comics and games that meets regularly for 40K games ranging from 1k-1500. Our open gaming meetup is usually on Sundays from 11-6. There is also Stomping Grounds in Warminster,I believe that has a lot of players.

Yeah, Bethlehem is a little far for me. I don't drive so it makes it a bit more difficult to get places outside of the city.

Stomping grounds is located right outside of philly in Hatboro PA, about 25 min off interstate 95. Has a great 40k crowd ranging from our competitive team to new players who are just getting into the game. Plenty of casual and competitive games go on each week! They play on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but the tables stay up, usually at least one game going on every day of the week. Also a pretty good wm crowd there as well.

I own Showcase Comics, and have stores in Bryn Mawr and Media.

Both have nights for warmachine, Magic, and GW gaming. We also have a big boardgame get together on thursday nights at the mall. You can call each store for specifics, since they tend to run different things on different nights.
