Hello hello! I'm rather terrible with introductions, so I will just get down to the basics.

I've been playing 40k for about a decade now and in doing so have accumulated a rather absurd number of bits (dispersed amongst three storage bins). My addiction is rather ravenous, and has resulted in many an army being halfway completed before being torn apart for the sake of a new tangent project. The only armies I haven't played are GKs, Tau, and Eldar. Most of my 40k career has been spent with the Dark Powers, particularly Nurgle and occasionally Khorne. That said, I created a great deal of background fluff for a loyalist Astartes force that fell to Chaos, but found their pre-heresy fluff compelling enough to betray my Chaotic masters in favor of the Emperors light. Long story short, I am now working on a loyalist Astartes army that includes Imperial Guard allies (because no true Astartes would ally with those Tau @$#holes).

Despite my 40k background, what actually brought me here to DakkaDakka was some google searching in regards to my latest addiction, Infinity. A few days ago at my local hobby shop I was introduced to the game and immediately fell in love with the miniatures. I've already gotten the basic rules down (though I'm certain I have barely scratched the surface of all the little nuances) and will be starting to collect a PanOceania force soon. I really like that the rules are accessible without having to invest over $100 on a rule book and codex, and as I said before the miniatures are lovely (call me old fashioned but I am a sucker for metal minis).

Anyways, enough blabbering, glad to be a part of DakkaDakka. Looking forward to getting to know the folks around here and I hope to bring some contributions to the community.
