Tonight I finished the first piece of terrain for my new 40k board, and my first piece of terrain in well over a decade. Overall, I'm fairly pleased with it, but I messed up the water effects. I put too much ink in with the resin, and rendered it opaque. The pool has a pile of gold, as well as a hand sticking out the muck, clutching some gold, but alas, they are lost for ever. I also didn't heat the stuff enough, so it went in a little viscous. All learning points for the next attempt though. Critique welcomed. The columns are an old aquarium piece, re-painted. The rest is foam core, milliput, plasticard and sand. Anyway, without further ado, images.
