Ok, I've got a whopping 4 games under my belt, one 750pt and two 1500pt matches with friends (I was using borrowed Tau at the time) and decided I wanted to give Space Marines a shot as, from what I gather, they're considerably more flexible unit utility wise. I built this list and have played one game with it against a Chaos army, which I actually won. I'm told my list is somewhat unconventional and I'd like to get your opinions on it. I had a blast playing it.

I see a storm raven, yet there is no real reason for one. Unless your just going to use it for anti air I guess, but talons do as good at that. Usually if you have a raven you'd want a decent melee unit to ride in it like assault or termies at the least

Take every Veteran Sergeant upgrade off. Unless they are for some ungodly reason built for combat, they do not need it, as normal Sergeants can die horribly for the emperor in a challenge.
Drop the Melta Bomb from the Scout Sergeant.
That's 35pts, give your last Ironclad a Pod.
I'd also drop the Ironclad Assault Launchers. Power Fists don't really scare an Ironclad, and it doesn't have to worry about Krak Grenades. Haywire Grenades scare you, but most things that have Haywire strike faster than you anyways (the exception being if, for some reason, the Tau bought their Haywire grenades. Even then, two Heavy Flamers into a Firewarrior Squad is going to kill the entire Firewarrior squad. Yay.)
I'd drop the Scout Bikers, too. They seem good on paper, but you can take three normal bikers with two grav guns for 6pts cheaper. Better armor save, better ballistic skill...
I'd drop the Bastion for an Aegis Line with a Quadgun.
Should strip enough points to give your second tactical squad a Drop Pod. Drop the Missile Launcher, give it a Multi Melta instead. I'd even contemplate switching those Flamers to Meltaguns or Plasma Guns, since your Ironclads should be running Dual Heavy Flamers, and that's more than enough to handle anything that needs to be flamered. (As well, you now have 5 pods, so all 3 Ironclads Can come on and Flame things at once, if you so desire!)
In fact, definitely switch to the Melta / Combi Melta combo on the Tactical Squads. I'd even contemplate just dropping the Heavy Weapons on the Tactical Squads all together.
I didn't math how many points you have left, but you can use that to give the Scouts Cloaks, add more if you see fit (or even Add Telion, since he'd give them a 2+ save behind the Aegis Line), Adjust things a bit to see if you can add a Stormtalon w/ a Skyhammer Launcher.
Just my 2c!

I agree with the anti-veteran idea. They are just not worth it. Id (almost) always rather shoot than melee with my SM, and lower leadership means if I survive melee and flee, hey more shooting. I also really like vet shooty dreads, and is always rather have one in cover shooting instead if walking a dread. If you have it tied to your storm raven that can be fun but it's not usually the best way to deliver one. Bastions are cool, I usually run a defense line though. It's a bit cheaper and I prefer them, but yrmv.
Terran has a bunch of good points. You have a list that's fun, but there are a number of improvements you can make if you wanna make it more competitive.

You list structure overall is fine. There are a number of things I’d change.
I agree that vet sarges everywhere is a little much. Same with all the melta bombs. One of your goals should be to scrap enough points to get 5 pods total.
One of the perks of pods is you get to place the right squad next to the right target. So instead of two generalist tac squads, gear one of anti tank, and the other for anti infantry. So MM/M, c-melta and HB/F, c-flamer (or plasma, your call)
I like the meltagun/HF ironclads, but 2xHF will light up the right targets. The launchers are nice if you have the points, but not required.
Running a stormraven empty as a pure gunboat is a good call. I dislike having too much of my force in reserve, and consider it’s transport capacity a trap choice.
I like scout bikes. They look cool, and offer a number of tricks. I don’t think you need the beacon in this list. Drop pods are accurate enough on their own. You are mostly going to be running around shooting krack grenades into the back of tanks and otherwise causing backfield havoc. This is one of the few places I think a vet sarge is worth the points in your list. But I would get him some toys to play with. Either a powerfist to punch holes in tanks, or a sword/maul/other weapon to help carve up squads. The two scouts with him aren’t going to give him much backup, so he’ll have to do most of the lifting. Optionally, keep them cheep and cheerful with just the 2xAGLs.
