so I had this come up, the guy says he has been playing APOC gmaes for years and he insists that super heavies (specifically super heavy walkers) CANNOT be locked in combat, and have a special rule that alows them to just walk out of combat.

he cannot, nor can I, find this rule in the current edition of APOC< or escalation,

can any of you point to PG# to confirm or deny that this rule exists?

I know it was present in old editions, but I cannot find it in my current APOC or escalation books.

It doesn't exist with any current rules.

Super heavy walkers and Gargatuan creatures did indeed use to have this rule.

Its currently not in the new apoc rules however.

Just like the old stomp used to be auto-hit all models in b2b with str10 no armor save but you had to give up your normal attacks.

In the white dwarf with the Knight rules there's some narrative that suggests locking it in combat with a horde of fearless griblies to tie it up for a few turns, I don't have the Apocalypse book but i can say that rule doesn't exist in my copy of escalation.
