I'm not really wanting to spend $14 each for these so was wondering what folks have done to supplement or create their own?

I was thinking about using Cadian Bodies with Ape heads - like PotA types since they are using "digital weapons".

Any other thoughts here?

No madam, 40,000 is the year that this game is set in. Not how much it costs. Though you may have a point. - GW Fulchester

Victoria miniatures sells some alien heads that look humanoid if you wanted to make a "techy race" of xeno to aid your dude. Just put the head on a cadian body.

I've used Warhammer Ghouls to great effect - they have a hunched, wiry thing going on. Just sculpt a monkey mouth on them, remove the bones and paint them orange/furry.
