Finally getting back into lizards after being relocated by the Air Force to San Antonio, Biloxi, and finally Phoenix in the span of a year.

Without further delay, this is my list.

Note: I prefer saurus heavily for the feel of the units, the fluff, and the fact I own almost no skinks and some 200 something saurus now.

LORDS!

Slann, Harmonic convergence, focus of mystery, BSB, Standard of discipline, channeling staff. 420 points

CORE!!

30 Saurus warriors, musician, banner. 350 points.

40 saurus warriors, musician, banner, 460 points

20 saurus warriors, musician, banner, 240 points

SPECIAL!!!!!

36 temple guard, banner, musician, razor standard 569 points

Bastilodon, sun gun 150 points

This leaves me 310 points to play with.
Questions, comments, advice for saurus heavy armies, concerns? I'll reply when I can! Thanks!

Also add 2 salamanders you won't regret it. Also you could add Gor-Rok as a special character he is pretty solid in my opinion that would be 345 points.
Since you only have 310 you might want to take a skink priest level 1 with a few upgrades or items to make it to 310 points.

I am just wondering why you have such oddly added up units of saurus why not make 3 units of 30? I can't comment to much on a mono Saurus army though but I am sure it would do pretty good just make sure you use the Salamandrs.
Some skink skirmishers with blowpipes would be benefitial as well but that's just me.

I think it would be a pretty MEH list to play personally but if you like the heavy suarus then go for it, with the units I suggested I think it would do fine. Just sucks having Initiative 1 all the time lol.
Hope that helps a bit

Bare-bones Scar-vet on carnosuar is 310 (Scar-vet, carnosuar, light armor, shield) You could also drop a few Saurus here and there to trick him out a bit if you wanted.

I use the weird amounts because the 40 is a horde, and the 30 is the standard 6 by 5 I try to use. The 20 man unit is supposed to be a flanking unit to keep on a wing.

As for the SCarnosaur, I'm not a huge fan. I've tried it and haven't been too impressed. I kinda feel like 6 krox, or 2 units of 5 cold ones.

Scarnosaur is not for everyone. My meta is pretty light on cannons so we use more monsters in general. The Cold Ones fit your Saurus-heavy theme a bit better and adds mobility, but 6 Krox packs the high-strength punch you're missing... touch choice.

Personally I'd go with some Saurus characters. A couple Scar-vets to lead your Saurus would be a nice addition. You've got enough points for 2 with full magic allowance or like chiefbigredman said, Gor-Rok (for his stubbornness) and another cheap Scar-vet. Right now a tooled-up combat character will be tough for you to deal with unless you go Death Magic on the slann instead of high. I've got a friend who used to use a very similar list with two big hordes of Saurus and the only character was a Slann. Vampire Lords and Daemon Princes could take on the hordes by themselves and win.

Barring that, I'd go with the Kroxigor and hit someone in the flank with S7 juiciness after they've been locked in with your Saurus. Plus they have sweet models

My meta was extremely heavy on cannons, so it was just a waste of points to take monsters, really. Its why I tend to cringe at taking stegadons. I'll probably take loaded scarvets, though I don't know how to load them out, but I'll definitely play with it and see what I like.

I would take 2 hoard forms of sauraus and drop the other 10 for 120pts and take 2 scarvets and any other points skink priests.
