Just curious as to if anyone has had some experience with the Mantic Zombies. I would like to use them for my vampire counts and they seem to be better value. I do love the GW ones but was wanting to give these a try? What does everyone think of them quality wise and such? I don't play at GW or anything so that's not a problem using other companies miniatures. Im more into the painting aspect of it all anyways.

Also where could they be bought in Canada. Ive just seen them on their website in the UK I believe it was. Thanks Dakka

They're good. And for something that costs a couple of points, you may as well seeing as you'll probably need bucket loads. A lot of the arms are cast onto the torsos so you can't make some easy variety like with the gw ones by moving them slightly. But you can just cut and chop and alter them. Heck they're zombies, doesn't matter if its a bit untidy. YMMV ofc

Don't know about stores though sorry. I'm used to getting stuff online from nz

If your attack is going too well, you have walked into an ambush

Yeah they've got some decent alternatives to vampires and necromancers. Haven't got any myself as I'd already got a bunch of characters from reaper. They're worth a look as well. There are literally tons of different models on their site. So you have a bit of choice

I love them personally. They're a little light on poses/accessories but not noticeably so. It's a good idea to buy some of the Mantic ghouls at the same time since they're 100% compatible with each other.

The entire Undead range is fantastic.

I recommend picking up the Undead 1 player battle set. For US$50 (msrp, usually 20%+ off at your favorite online discounter) you get 20 zombies, 20 skeletons w/ command, and 10 ghouls.

The zombies are great and I've used them for tons of stuff - fantasy zombies, converted them w/ bolt action Germans to make Nazi zombies, mixed them with Dredd figures to make a Judge Dredd zombie horde... they're so cheap that it's hard to not use them for everything.

"...and special thanks to Judgedoug!" - Alessio Cavatore "Now you've gone too far Doug! ... Too far... " - Rick Priestley "I've decided that I'd rather not have you as a member of TMP." - Editor, The Miniatures Page "I'd rather put my testicles through a mangle than spend any time gaming with you." - Richard, TooFatLardies "We need a Doug Craig in every store." - Warlord Games "Thank you for being here, Judge Doug!" - Adam Troke

They are great, they combine well with mantics SciFi marines also.

I think they also sell 60 packs of just zombies for around $60 msrp, if all you want/ need are the zombies but I do second the point of splicing in a few packs of ghouls, helps establish diversity in your units.

This may help. Canadian stockists are at the bottom

"Do you have a map of the cat?" - Richard Feynman

How to paint Skeletons the way I do if that's something you'd fancy trying.

I had fun magnetizing my zombie. I did one just to see if it would work then I could have a crawler or a walker.

His head is magnetic too

My brother in law and I are playing KoW, he's doing undead and I have orcs. The models for undead are fantastic. I love how they are scaled to actually fit inside a human body

They are a good deal.

There are only about 4-5 poses they can be assembled in (2 different legs and three different torso"s I think) and still rank up nicely. But for the price you can't beat them.

^If you get a sprue of ghouls for every couple sprues of zombies, you get a lot more variation. And if you still want to field ghoul units with the same models, you can just paint them a bit differently (plus ghoul units are usually smaller, yeah?) and maybe go heavier on the held weapons.
