Recently, I've been selling off all my old WW2 metal mini's on eBay as I don't have any desire to re-paint them to a better standard than my previous childhood attempts. In the process of cleaning them up for sale, I came across my old metal Ancient Greek Hoplites, which set me thinking. I've always loved the Ancient Greek Era - from it's Mythology right down to it's warring city states and I'd love to get back into painting Ancient Greeks, but unfortunately I lost all faith in the company I used to get my mini's from (Black Tree Design) due to irregular shipping patterns (I ended up waiting nigh on a 6 months for a 2-3 weeks delivery, which, whilst I eventually got the order, put me off them quite a bit). So, back to the present and I was surfing around the net for a UK-based maker of Ancient Greek mini's, with a wide range, and I came across Victrix/Warlord Games 'Hail Caesar' range. Now, my old Greeks are all metal, but Victrix make them in plastic. My only other experience with plastic is my ever expanding 40k Salamanders collection, so I'm slightly nervous about jumping straight into a plastic Victrix collection.

So down to the 20-dollar question - How do Victrix's plastic models stand up to either GW's plastic models or equivalent metal models of Ancient Greeks in terms of detailing, scale (I know GW's scale is vastly different in this case) and general build quality. All help is appreciated!
