The Third round of the Giga-Bites Tiered Tournament League. If you are new to the tournament scene and/or have always wanted to try it out, this is your chance!

Tier 1 is intended for those who are new and/or inexperienced at 40k to play in a semi competitive enviroment. We will have mentors about to discuss rules and be available after a game to discuss tactics.

Tier 2 is a event for more experienced players. If you have been playing a while or are looking for a bit more of a challenge, this is the group for you. It is designed to be a more competitive event, but still not the highest level (No FW etc).

Tier 3 is the Atlanta 40k Series Wink

Registration will begin at 8:30 and Game 1 will start at 9am.
3 Rounds will be played. Rounds will be 2.5 hours each.

Event cost will be $15.00. Prizes will be awarded for both events.

All the 6th Edition Rules:
* Allies are allowed.
* Fortifications are allowed.
* Warlord traits will be rolled for.
* Mysterious Terrain will be rolled for.
* FW/IA will not be allowed, "Official" codices only. Other codices will be allowed as long as they are released at least 24 hours prior. Escalation & Stronghold Assault are not going to be used for this event.

Each Tier will be its own group. You can sign up for either, but will only accrue points in the tier you are signed up in. (e.g. if you play Tier 2 for 2 tournaments and decide to play in Tier 1, then you only earn points in Tier 1, but your Tier 2 points will remain).

Specific rules (in addition to above):

First Tier:
Games will be 1500 points.
Painting is not factored into scoring, and there will no longer be a painting award for Tier 1. (Some work is expected to be done on your army though, no plastic-grey legions.)
Floating Mentors will be available to assist and advise in games.
Awards will be for:
Overall, 2nd Overall, Best General (wins), Favorite Opponent

Second Tier
Games will be at 1750 points.
3 color minimum is required.
Awards will be for:
Overall, Best General (wins), Favorite Opponent, Best Army (Painting & Fluff Roll Eyes scores combined)
You don't have to turn in backstory/fluff on your army, but it's readily encouraged!

Missions are forthcoming. Expect some changes from what you have seen previously!
